The first assumption of Bohr's theory is that it will not loss/gain energy being in any of its orbits while classical (Maxwell's) theory contradicts this argument and says that electrons (e) will lose energy while revolving. It is because while revolving, there will be centripetal acceleration and accelerating charge radiate always. By this argument of classical theory, an electron should radiate and hence its radius should decrease and it should fall into nucleus and hence orbits should be spiral instead of circular but it is not the case. So, this assumption is contradicts to classical theory.
